James B. Hendryx : Bio : Anscestors

Perhaps JBH's ancestors that had the most obvious influence on him were his father, Charles Fitch Hendryx, an newspaper editor and in Cornell University's first graduating class. The other influential character that can be seen in much of his writing is his great-grandfather President William Henry Harrison (1773-1841), Anna Tuthill Harrison's father. The Hendryx household always some Presidential memorabilia here and there. But it was in his writing that he so often refers to the powerful effect of a bloodline on "character". I there was the strong feeling of having come from such a good bloodline that gave him such a strong character. (Also see Descendants)
