James B. Hendryx -- Biographical Information

Printed information about the life of James B. Hendryx is scarce. There have been a few newspaper and magazine articles about him, though I haven't found any published during his lifetime. There is also a reference to an "autobiographical sketch" which is also unknown to me. This scarcity of information isn't surprising since he never seemed to show the slightest interest in promoting himself, or in encouraging the attention of others.

In addition to the articles below, he was also the subject of the TV program This is Your Life in 1956. I'm looking for a transcript of that to enter here.

Genealogy - Some Ancestors and Descendants

Cabin in Canada

Another autobiographical article coming eventually

Michael Perlow discovered an autobiographical article published in the Book News Monthly dated April, 1917. The article was written by James B. Hendryx "A New Writer of Promise". Included is a formal portrait, four photos of JBH and a photo of the home of Charles F. Hendryx." He sent me a copy a long time ago, but I haven't entered it yet. Sorry.
